Uganda gorilla trekking and private safaris

Uganda combines intimate primate encounters with classic savannah wildlife, volcanic scenery and the waterways of the Nile. Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable or Mgahinga is the country’s best-known experience, while Kibale National Park offers exceptional chimpanzee tracking. Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls and Kidepo Valley broaden the journey with game drives, boat safaris, birding and dramatic landscapes.

Gorilla and chimpanzee activities require permits, and availability should be checked before confirming flights and accommodation. Routes can include Lake Bunyonyi, the Rwenzori foothills, community visits and the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, depending on the time available. Permits, accommodation and safari costs

Your quotation depends on the number of travellers, permits and activities requested, accommodation category, length of stay and road or flight connections. We state the current permit costs applicable to your travel dates in the proposal and confirm availability before asking you to commit to the arrangements.

The lodge location must work with the confirmed trekking area. We will explain the accommodation choices and identify which permits, meals, park activities, guiding services and transfers are included. Flights, insurance, personal expenses and optional activities are listed separately when excluded.

Arrival and realistic transfer planning

The itinerary includes a Day 0 arrival plan and a final airport transfer. We can plan around Entebbe or assess a connection through Kigali when it suits the wider journey, with border and entry arrangements checked before confirmation. Road journeys need sufficient time; domestic flights may be considered when available and appropriate.
