Uganda combines intimate primate encounters with classic savannah wildlife, volcanic scenery and the waterways of the Nile. Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable or Mgahinga is the country’s best-known experience, while Kibale National Park offers exceptional chimpanzee tracking. Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls and Kidepo Valley broaden the journey with game drives, boat safaris, birding and dramatic landscapes.

Gorilla and chimpanzee activities require permits, and availability should be checked before confirming flights and accommodation.
