Seven-Day Tanzania Adventure Camping Safari
Experience northern Tanzania close to nature on this private seven-day camping safari through Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire. Nights at established campsites create an immersive adventure while an experienced crew manages transport, meals and camp arrangements.
This is a practical camping journey rather than a lodge safari. Travellers should expect basic shared campsite facilities and changing temperatures. Wildlife sightings are natural events and cannot be guaranteed.
Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Meet your Nature Bound Africa representative on arrival and transfer to Arusha. Settle in, rest after your journey and receive a safari briefing. Overnight at Maura Apartment or a similar property on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Travel to Lake Manyara for your first game drive. Explore the park’s groundwater forest, lakeshore and varied wildlife habitats before continuing to Fanaka Campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
Drive through the highlands towards the Serengeti, enjoying changing scenery along the way. Enter the national park for an afternoon game drive and a picnic meal before camping at a public Serengeti campsite.
Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Rim
Begin with a morning game drive in the Serengeti, then continue towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. An optional visit to Olduvai Gorge can be arranged. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite on the crater rim.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive across its grasslands, woodland and wetlands, with a picnic lunch inside the caldera. Later, ascend and continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Fanaka Campsite.
Day 6: Tarangire National Park to Arusha
Explore Tarangire, known for its large elephant population, baobab trees and wildlife-rich river corridor. After the game drive, return to Arusha for an overnight stay at Maura Apartment or a similar property.
Day 7: Arusha and Airport Transfer
After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport in time for your confirmed onward flight. This marks the end of your Tanzania camping safari.
